- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 cup butter softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
Butter and flour a cake baking (8-inch) pan.
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until mixture is very light and fluffy.Add the flour mixture.Mix it well.Add milk and vanilla.Give it a final mix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, unmould and cool it completely.
